(more to come)The third era is known for the uniting of the human tribes into the united empire we now know as the Arsimian Empire. Early in human history, the human race was divided into nomadic tribes of hunters and gatherers. As time progressed the humans slowly developed ways to grow food themselves and slowly these tribes became city-states and settled in the windswept plains where conditions were better suited for farming. The third era is usually seen as starting with the birth of a man. Rexus Arasim was born as the son of the chieftain of the White Wolf tribe. They were one of the largest tribes of their area due to the conquering and assimilating of other nearby smaller tribes. Rexus, as a prince destined for control of the tribe, learned the art of war from the greatest fighters and generals the white wolves had to offer. He was also tutored in the oral traditions of the tribe by the lorekeepers. Rexus proved as gifted in the mind as the art of the sword and quickly gained fame as a noble warrior. His curious mind proved a bit more of a hassle then his father had anticipated, as Rexus eager to learn about the rest of the world outside the human lands, fled the palace and went to the community of half-orcs living on the outskirts of the known human realm. There he learned of the vastness of the continent of Balmafula. He learned the tale of the creation of the orc race, how they used to be elves. He then went to the half elf communities near Ravenwood and learned of their stories and the decline of the elven state. There he tutored under their finest wizards and learned basic magic. He proved as adept in the art of magic as the art of war and proved an excellent apprentice. After a few years, Rexus Arasim heard of his father’s ailing health and the chaotic state of the White Wolf Tribe. When he returned home he found the leaders of his tribe engaged in a war of succession. The leaders had formed alliances with other neighboring tribes, and even though the proper ruler had returned, they refused to give up and let Rexus take his rightful place as chieftain. Rexus turned to the half-orc and half-elf tribes he had spent the last few years with and quickly had an army of his own. After a few short years, he quickly turned the tide of the war and regained control of the White Wolf Tribe. At this point, Rexus’s army saw the weakened state of the other tribes and decided to take control of all of the windswept plains and thus the entirety of the human lands.
